Vladimir Zolotsev was born in 1955 in Churtak, Uzbec Republic to an art-oriented family At age 14, he qualified to enter a Fine Art School in Moscow, where he graduated in five years with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Six years later he earned his Master's Degree in Fine Art from St. Petersburg, graduating in 1980 at age 25 to begin what was to become one of the most remarkable contemporary art careers of our century.
By 1983 he was designing Musical Instruments-harps, guitars, pianos, etc., in St. Petersburg where, in 1985, he became a teacher himself-skil1ed as well in sculpting and stained glass. His understanding of color and composition, coupled with his flawless ability to create a skillful rendition of his subject, with heart, soul, spirit and passion, has moved Vladimir Zolotsev out of the realm of the ordinary into the distinct arena of the extraordinary. These artists are not only academically correct, but able to communicate their message with emotional direction as well.
