Tatiana (Tania) Yukhimets was born in Kiev, Ukraine.
From an early age Tania was surrounded by the images of fine art. Her father, a prominent art teacher, critic and art historian, contributed greatly to her refined sense of taste. Her love for art lead Tania to study extensively under the guidance of several well known Ukrainian painters.
After graduating Kiev State Academy of Fine Arts in 1993, Tania spent years developing her own style of painting that has been influenced in large part by the French impressionists.
With numerous commissions and countless works sold, Tania has established herself as one of the most respected and collected artists in Eastern Europe. For the past 5 years she has been sharing her knowledge and passion with the new generation of artists as an art teacher at the prestigious Kiev State College of Applied Arts.
In the fall of 2010 Tania moved to California where she continues to pursue her quest for beauty through art.
